Jesse Christaldi won FIRST PLACE in the Best of Shred 2010 Sam Ash/Steve Vai Shred Contest at the Sam Ash store in King of Prussia, PA, November 10, 2010!!! For those that don’t know what SHREDDING is, it is incredible guitar playing (when done right). If you don’t know who Steve Vai is, then you SHOULD! If you don’t know who Jesse Christaldi is, get to know him now, he is on his way up the ladder! Here he is playing to Steve Vai’s track called, “Blue Powder”. This is Jesse’s take on the track. As a long time fan of Steve Vai, he takes in what he can and then likes to put his own spin on it. Steve made these incredible backing tracks available to anyone that would like to have an incredible backing band behind them and may not always get that chance. Thanks Steve . . . for EVERYTHING!

Yeah, I am his Dad and I get to play in a band with him and I am blown away sometimes when I hear the Frank Zappa influence in his style. Sometimes he is channeling Frank! He is a big fan of his and also of Dweezil too. We have some great photos of him with Dweezil, a VERY nice guy! Yeah Jim, I had to at least include you there packing up your gear! Still hope that you and Jesse can get together sometime and rip it up! Maybe one night after work.
